quirky retrospectives

i spied little greene‘s new ‘retrospectives’ collection in this month’s elle decoration, and was instantly drawn to the quirkiness of the de stijl style decoration and seventies orange, brown and blue colour scheme (top image).

following the enormous success of its first collection of authentic historic paint colours, little greene has once again collaborated with english heritage to create a brand new paint collection comprising 32 stunning colours from the 1960s and 1970s,which will be officially unveiled at decorex later this month.

my favourite colours are definitely the tan and deep space blue paints from the previously mentioned de stijl image, but i also love the obsidian green in the living room and the trumpet yellow in the dining room.

and, wow, how fab is the checkerboard painted on the bathroom floor – what a fabulous idea!
