| filming on lamb’s conduit street |
i promised i’d share this with you, and thankfully it is not quite as mortifying as i’d thought! i shot this little video for thomas cook a few weeks ago, sharing my secret london gem for everyone coming to london during the olympics who are looking to explore my city further.
lamb’s conduit street has some of my favourite independent (yes, i know i say that word far too much in the video!) shops including darkroom, folk and persephone books, as well as nearby stores ben penreath and locally-run people’s supermarket. i love how close it is to the centre of town and how easy it is to get to, yet it feels a world away from the hustle of the west end – a local village in the heart of the urban city.
if you haven’t got your olympic tickets yet, make sure you enter into my giveaway to win yourself a pair for the women’s volleyball at earl’s court, complete with a night’s accomodation. i’ve really been enjoying all the entries so far, and your olympic memories have reminded me of so many wonderful sporting moments from the past few games, including jonathan edwards’ amazing triple jump world record, and roger black’s hard-fought silver medals.
keep them coming!
