Fabric of my Life.

a new term

well hello again friends, i hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer – i know i have!

it’s that time of year again, when the weather starts to turn and a chill begins to hang in the air, bringing with it the nostalgia of a new school year and the promise of exciting new things to come.

i always crave a fresh set of stationery come the start of september; a crisp new notepad with startling white sheets, a set of freshly inked pens waiting to make their mark. so i’m delighted to have come across two new companies to fulfil all my desires this autumn, along with the beautiful wall planner above from old favourite, lollipop designs.

the paperie aim to keep the written word alive and pass on their love of all things paper to their customers, with an online stationery boutique filled with sumptuous paper products and divine writing instruments. stocking popular brands such as cavallini, field notes, lamy and (my favourite) leuchtturm1917, the family-run company are dedicated to supplying well-designed stationery products which are not easy to find on your typical high street. my wish list includes uniquely-styled circular clipiola paper clips, field notes pencils and a quirky ‘erase’ rubber from cavallini.

quill london is a just-launched online boutique that specialises in stylish stationery and paper goods from independent designers. they believe that the stationery we buy, and the cards we send others, are a reflection of our personal style (as do i!), and set out to bring together a curated collection of the loveliest writing materials from across the globe, sourcing from a wide range of independent designers, traditional printing houses and cutting-edge manufacturers. my favourite pieces include colour block jotters, japanese calculators and a fluoro yellow (yes, i’m still obsessed!) furoshiki shiki ipad case.

so, what’s catching your eye?
