i guess for most americans, west elm is simply just another high street homeware store (rather like habitat to us brits), but since we don’t have any stores over here, i simply can’t get enough of it! when i was in new york earlier in the year i eagerly sought out the chelsea store to peruse the delightful collections, even managing to smuggle an adorable set of owl measuring cups home in my luggage (paid for, of course – i just read that back!).
so i was excited to see that they have recently launched the west elm market: full of clever, hard-working, time-saving, clutter-busting solutions for everyday living. rather like baileys or labour and wait in the uk, the west elm market is jam-packed with all kinds of kitchen crockery, tools and gadgets, from enamel cast iron dutch ovens to onyx ice pop moulds. i love the stackable stove top faria+bento cook set that provides you with everything you could possible need to bake, fry, steam and simmer, as well as the gorgeous labeled kitchen glass beaker, with handwritten measure. the care+repair section of the market is also fabulous; how gorgeous is this heritage leather reinforced mason bag? or these izola cotton laundry bags?
and the best bit; west elm now ship to the uk! purses at the ready…

100% with you on this – love, love, love it! Let’s got to NYC again now so we can shop it. Well, maybe not *right* now given Sandy’s presence, but, ya know, soon! :)
Oh, yes, let’s! :)
Oh my. You are in trouble because now I want to buy a whole lot more stuff I can’t afford.
Oh my, I love West Elm, too. They should really come to Europe!! Eager customers waiting in Germany, too:-)
