a place to dwell

living by dwellstudio for house of fraser

back on a bitterly cold december morning late last year, i was invited along to a very special breakfast to preview the new living by dwellstudio collection for house of fraser. i’ve long been a fan of us-based dwellstudio but had never had the pleasure of seeing their products in the flesh, so naturally i was delighted to hear about their collaboration with house of fraser; one of the uk’s biggest department stores (where i once worked, co-incidentally!)

launching in 20 stores and online from 1st march, the living by dwellstudio collection includes furniture, bed linen, lighting, and home accessories, all drawing upon creative director christiane lemieux’s eponymous signature style taking inspiration from nature, as well as art deco and midcentury designs. the spring collections are based around three beautifully coordinated colour stories; bronze which combines earth brown and citrine shades with bronze accents; monochrome which mixes grey and blue hues with silver highlights; and pretty which incorporates a pink and lilac palette with gold highlights.

i’m totally taken with the lars tan leather chair which is sooo comfortable, as well as the beautiful owl bookends and amber drip vase. have you spotted anything that takes your fancy?
