Fabric of my Life.

seal of approval

awww, don’t the girls from mora approved look like super fun?!

mora approved (a.k.a cassey shapiro and claudia cameron) started their little boutique as a way of sharing their passion for european homewares and accessories. the name ‘mora approved’ was inspired by the fact that there is  a town named mora in sweden and a town named mora in spain. “it seemed fitting to name the shop after two very different european regions with one unifying name,” says cassey. with an eye for unique design and beautiful vintage, the 2 friends are always on the lookout for special and functional design pieces, offering a capsule collection of homewares, kitchenware, gifts and accessories hailing from twelve (and counting) different european countries, from as far north as the finnish lapland to as south as madrid.

their curation contains a wide range of products, from one-of-a-kind ceramics to graphic cushions to quirky bags,  all checked to ensure their quality and uniqueness before being given the mora seal of approval. despite being a man’s wallet, i would definitely give my seal of approval to the minimialist craftsmanship of russian brand the dissident’s thick leather wallet, which is totally devoid of stitches and fancy hardware and perfect for the fuss-free style seeker!

like what you see? well, mora have been kind enough to offer readers of this blog a fabulous 15% off all purchases until 31st March 2013 so you can give the range your own seal of approval – just use the code FOMLMA to recieve your discount at the checkout.

and that’s not all… the lovely ladies have also offered a little giveaway prize of three items from the beautiful l’officina ceramics range (pictured above), which features elegant handmade ceramics from italian ceramicist sonia girotto. the pieces are all individually wheel-thrown in turin for that rustic italian texture, and would be sure to add a touch of ‘la vita bella’ to your home!

to win yourself a stripy or dotty bowl (the winner can choose), a duck egg blue spoon rest and a set of 4 rustic tumblers, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post answering the question, “which product from the mora approved range would you approve?”

you can also gain an extra entry into the competition by tweeting: “i’d love to #win this handmade italian ceramic set from @moraapproved and @fabricofmylife – http://t.co/ZfK56Wmd69

this giveaway is open to all residents of mainland united kingdom (except employees of the promoter, their families and anyone professionally involved with this promotion). the giveaway closes at 11.59pm on 31st march 2013, and the winner will be drawn at random and notified after this date.

  1. The Big Ben print is ace. I’d love one of the Paris ones as well, would look great in my bedroom.

  2. I love the wine light. Very stylish and contemporary. I am always leaving empty wine bottles around the house but this time I won’t have to put it in the bin!

  3. So many great things on the shop. I love the paleolochic cushions and if I had a single bed those by nord duvet sets would be mine.

Thanks for pointing them out and hosting.

  4. I’d approve of the minimalist wallet because the leather is incredibly appealing and rustic looking.

  5. I really love the spoon rest as i’ve been after one for quite a while but i’m also a fan of the MRYTE DE ZEEUW cushions especially the cedar waxwing cushion.

  6. I love the Officina ceramics, but my favourite is the Reine Mere Arbor Coasters – great for a family home
