modern farmhouse

milk farm road

i came across milk farm road recently via the lovely mr. bazaar and must say, i’ve fallen pretty hard for their delectable collection of colour-dipped jars and handpainted table linens.

with a focus on tabletop and home goods, artist heather chontos has created a range combining fine art details with a contemporary twist to create a “modern farmhouse” aesthetic, inspired by nature and everyday surroundings as diverse as an old wooden bucket to a beautiful painting in a museum.

i was drawn not only by the beauty of the products themselves, but also by heather’s whimsical styling of the collection (she’s a prop stylist by profession). and as much as the neon-dipped vases are my obvious go-to, i’m also a fool for those striped wooden bowls – oh, if only i had green-fingers!
