a modern take on aurora

northern lighting

i’m still in norway, so thought i’d share one of my very favourite design pieces from the past few years; the sunday wall light from norwegian ‘mood makers’ northern lighting.

the lamp was originally designed by frost produkt and martina carpelan for style bible design interiør, who asked them to create a lamp within the timeframe of a week. the resulting wall light, which can be lit using either a tapered candle or classic bulb, also doubles as a handy little bedside storage shelf, which is perfect for creating just the right mood for a sunday morning in bed, don’t you think?
