reflect & review

goodbye 2013

wow, just where has the year gone?

2013 has been pretty good to me all-in-all. in january i enjoyed a sneak preview of the view from the shard, a building which has become an established part of the london skyline in 2013. in february i reached the ripe old age of 30 (!) with the help of some of my good friends, and in march i tried my hand at screen printing with the lovely thornback & peel.

in april i was invited to morocco to explore the beautiful northern coastal cities of casablanca and rabat, and in may i made the first of 3 jaunts across the channel to explore paris on my own. then in june i hopped a private jet to ålesund with ekornes to visit their factory and see first hand the wonder of the norwegian fjords, and in july i travelled to basel to road-test the new make my switzerland app, and stayed in the most wonderful hotel – i still find myself daydreaming about that room!

after taking a much-needed breather during august, i finished off the summer at the big feastival before channel hopping again to take in a mad 36 hours at paris design week and check out the newly relaunched sofitel arc de triomphe. in october i honed my new-found screen printing skills and learnt to #printlikelaura and in november i made a final dash across to paris to explore le marais with my sister. finally, in december i shared my tips for staying in london, having staycationed in 2 equally fabulous but very different london addresses.

phew! i feel exhausted just thinking about it all and it seems crazy to think that i’ve crammed all that in to what feels like a blink of an eye…

so, happy new year my friends and thank you for all your love and support throughout the year – i truly couldn’t do it without y’all! let’s say we do it all again in 2014, yeah?

love & kisses,

k xx
