if you’re a regular shopper on eBay uk you may have spotted that they have just introduced a new collections feature to your profile, which allows you to collate all your favourite products from the site together, in pinterest-style boards to create visual stories.
i often find eBay a bit of a minefield to negotiate as there are simply so many things available, so this is a welcome new addition to the site, enabling you to browse other people’s collections from across the eBay community. they’ve also launched a handy new homepage, featuring items selected by their own curation team to inspire users in their shopping, which includes a hand-picked items from a range of celebrities such as dannii minogue, reggie yates, kelly hoppen and alex james.
eBay got in touch recently asking if i’d like to be a part of this new launch, and of course, i said yes! i’ve had a lot of fun over the past few weeks rummaging through the site looking for hidden gems to bring together in my collections, which including mid century (i’m such a sucker for a low cabinet on spindle legs!) workspace ideas to inspire my office space, geometry (of course!) and cosy things to help see out the last of the winter’s chill.
the most enjoyable aspect of this new functionality is that it encourages you to browse and discover new items in a way you might not have done before when actually shopping for something specific was the main aim. the new collections function is aimed at helping you curate your own personal sense of style before you buy, helping you mix ‘n’ match to find the perfect look around your chosen theme, and sharing these ideas with the eBay community.
i’d love to hear what you think of my picks, and if you’d like to follow my collections over on eBay you can find me here. be sure to let me know which are your favourite looks and if you create any boards of your own drop me a note in the comments below so i can check them out!
