another book review in which i try not to gush too much over a debut book written by a good friend of mine; this time the wonderfully talented will taylor, aka mr bazaar, and his fantastically vibrant bright bazaar: embracing colour for make-you-smile style which, let me tell you, does exactly what it says on the tin!
will is one of those people who always makes you smile, with his sunny disposition, penchant for bright stripes, quirky bow ties and, of course, his passion for inspiring people to add cheer to their homes through colour! you really cannot fail to feel happy when will is around, and i’m so honoured and grateful to have him as a real life friend (all through the power of blogging – it really does change your life!). but, i digress..
will’s wonderful debut book brings his signature blog posts to life in an inspiring and creative way that captures the true essence of bright.bazaar in printed format. from his innovative colour cocktail mixology combos to easy-to-translate examples of decorating palettes from across the globe, will’s enthusiasm and passion for colour seeps into every page.
decorating with huge swathes of colour can be a daunting prospect but will’s personable approach makes considering the right colour scheme to suit your style and personality a breeze, encouraging you to draw inspiration from your own personal travels, favourite patterns, hues and cherished knick knacks to create a “colour cocktail” that is uniquely tailored to your life, whether it be in soft and delicate pastel hues or a bright and bold colour statement.
i’m already plotting multiple makeovers in my home to pep up my bedroom, office and living space inspired by will’s ten steps to colour confidence and andrew boyd‘s stunning interiors photography, which captures bright colour-popping style from an array of homes that really have an approachable, lived-in feel with easy-to-replicate style ideas.
personally, i’m torn between mint bliss, cerulean splash and flirty fiesta… which colour cocktails are ticking the box for you, friends?

Thank you for this beautiful post, hun! I love how you styled it up with the colourful Story Hotel mug, plus your page picks are great choices! xx
Thanks Will! It was your recommendation that I go to Story Hotel, so made sense to include the cup in the photo – such a fab place :)
