sunnies & sneaks

[soliloquy id=”18629″]

•  sunglasses, the row at linda farrowscarf, topshop (similar) •  parka, miss. selfridge (similar) •  jeans, zara •  ash metallic hi tops, c/o repertoire bag, warehouse (last season) • puppy & photography by alex vanthournout

this weekend we had one of those magical frosty days with clear blue skies and golden winter sunshine which demanded we all bundle up warm against the cold and head outdoors with my friend’s puppy, for a long leisurely walk through the meandering streets of the city. the glorious weather also provided the perfect excuse to break out my new ash metallic hi tops and big black leather sunglasses by the row, which i nabbed at the linda farrow sample sale last weekend.

alex’s puppy bailey – a four-month-old chocolate cocker spaniel – was full of boundless, excitable energy and dragged us all across town, from our favourite brunch spot on exmouth market through clerkenwell and down to st.paul’s, so i was mighty thankful for the comfort of my new sneakers given the miles bailey had us cover. we took a breather on the cathedral steps and promptly made friends with a gaggle of tourists who were suckered in by bailey’s beautiful eyes and playful nature; if you want a surefire way to engage with strangers on london’s streets, then get yourself a dog!

so my lovelies, what did you get up to this weekend?
