Fabric of my Life.

through the keyhole

at mine public launch june 2015

are you a member of at{mine} yet? it’s a wonderful online community space for home & design lovers where you can share snaps of your own home interiors and tag the sources of your style to inspire others.

as is probably already very apparent, i love being able to sneak a peek in the window of other people’s homes and firmly believe that a person’s choice of interior decoration can be very reflective of their personality as a whole. i’ve been an at{mine} beta member from the beginning (you can see my earlier post here) and love snooping around the site, discovering how fellow bloggers and creatives style their homes, and taking part in the community discussions that inevitably arise whenever someone posts something new. now the site is opening its doors to everyone and soon you’ll be able to peek through the keyhole of the fabulous homes of its community members too!

the site has just had a brand new makeover, with a sleek new look, exciting new features and powerful updated search functionality which makes it even easier to use. from next week you’ll be able to view all the beautiful home content without signing up for an account – although you should do this anyway if you want to truly immerse yourself in the friendly & welcoming community.

if you’re new to the site, the best thing to do is head to the ‘explore’ section and get an overview of the most popular users and images, which you can ‘favourite’ and bookmark for later by clicking on the ♥, or leave a comment if you’d like to ask the homeowner a question about their style (or just tell them how fabulous their home is!).

the platform is the brainchild of founders ia bergman and helena benelbas, who realised that there was no dedicated space online for interior enthusiasts to share snapshots of their own homes and get gratification or feedback from others. sure, we all pin innumerable home interior shots as a way of cataloguing our own style ideas, but how often do you actually interact with the owners of those images? on at{mine} you know exactly whose home interior it is you’re swooning over plus you have the opportunity to interact with them directly on the site and ask questions about that sofa you’ve just fallen in love with, or the paint colour you’re now desperate to paint your living room in.

so, what are you waiting for – see you all over at{mine}!
