Lay it on me

Layer Design Charge Trays 01

i love the look of these new wireless charging trays by benjamin hubert’s new design agency layer. the collection of slip cast ceramic trays with integrated induction charging system has been designed in collaboration with italian ceramics brand bitossi ceramiche, and each tray encompasses a compression-moulded silicone module on its underside that houses the wireless charging system. available in four different sizes and four ceramic finishes, the charge tray collection exudes high craft rather than high tech, with the beautiful clean aesthetic helping minimise the visual impact of technology.

“at layer we are interested in humanising technology and harmonising it with the interior environment,” says hubert. “the charge tray uses craft to softly and simply integrate smart technology within the home and make it more desirable.”

i for one certainly desire one for my home office – the difficulty is in choosing just one!
