this week has been a tale of laptop screens, packing boxes and torrential downpours. there really is nothing nicer than taking a moment of  pause when the heavens suddenly open during the summer months, throwing your window open wide and just breathing in the fresh heady scent of the rain. and of course, nothing worse than being caught out in it whilst traipsing across town in your summer sandals!

despite being pretty much chained to my home office all week in work, work, work mode i’ve also spotted some pretty lovely new product launches that have brightened up the overcast days and added yet more items to my ever-expanding wishlist. which, given that i’m trying to get rid of stuff for the move, is pretty damn typical, right?

the beautiful new first light* lamps by dana cannam for another country are a particular fave of mine this week and i can’t wait to add the sleek table lamp to my (fantasy) new home. i’m also lusting after all the new bedlinen from barcelona-based mikmax, whose tactile textiles i first discovered at maison&objet in 2014.
