Lust & Covet Tropical Palm Prints

it’s set to be hot, hot, hot in london town this week (we certainly picked the right week for the big move, ugh!), and as the mercury nudges skyward i find myself being drawn – yet again – to the allure of tropical palm prints.

it’s a motif that’s an interiors classic for a reason. far less faddy than this year’s love affair with the cactus, the iconic palm leaf offers a nod to classic french riviera glamour, yet with a distinctly fresh, modern flair. i could never bring myself to go full-on tropical in the home, but a flash of palm on a cushion, a wallpaper lining inside a drawer or wardrobe, or small decorative pieces atop a cabinet? the perfect way to bring a little splash of summer into the home, in my book.

this week i’m coveting (clockwise from top): house of hackney, hush, farfetch, urban outfitters, oliver bonas, coco lapine.

  1. I’d happily settle down on the palm print chair. And I really love the cabinet with the flash of design at the back of it – perfect.

  2. I love this trend and I have gone full on with it at home as I’ve wallpapered a whole wall with palm print wallpaper. Next I need a couple of palm print cushions for the sofa. Great selection here though.

  3. Love this post :)

My wife and I recently redecorated our living room. We covered one wall in pink and turquoise palm leaf wallpaper, repainted the remaining three walls a very pale apple green and then dotted a few little palm tree ornaments around the entire home. We think it might look a little odd come Winter, but for now, we’re happy :)
