oh my, how unbelievably cute is the new lomo’instant automat camera?!
described as ‘the ultimate instant camera for beginners and experts alike’ the new gadget, which launched on kickstarter this week, is perfect for fuss-free, everyday shooting because aperture, shutter speed and flash output adjust automatically – all you need to do is point and shoot.
the lovechild of years of experience, experimentation and learning, the automat from lomography is the only instant camera to combine automatic settings with a ton of creative features too: you can shoot everything from remote control selfies, to experimental light paintings, unlimited multiple exposures or long exposures up to 30 seconds, group selfies with the remote control lens cap or add a pop of color to your flash by covering it with one of four color gels. there are also 3 lens attachments on offer: close-up, wide-angle or fisheye.
using widely available fujifilm instax mini film, the camera prints out super cute pocket sized photos that are perfect for adorning your workspace moodboard, kitchen fridge or instagram shelfies, bringing photography back out of the digital world and into the physical again.
available in four striking designs – the classic black playa jardín, chic white bora bora, retro red south beach and vibrant yellow punalu’u (exclusively for kickstarter backers) – i’m hard pressed to choose a favourite design, although i’m edging towards the minimalist white version..
better make up my mind fast though as the super early bird options have been snapped up already, which happily means the project is currently on target to meet its funding target!
so my lovelies, which version would you opt for?

Love the look of the design of this and especially the cute little photos you can print out. I rather like the retro style red, but the pure white is nice too.
This is so cool! Love the vintage design! Lets see a retro red with wide angle lens.
Wow. New school meets old skool. Love this. I just love sifting through old photos. Actual photos. I can see all things “real” making a huge comeback over the next decade. Cheers for the intro!
What a cool camera. Love the vintage vibe and the fact you can print your photos out. We don’t do enough of that these days.
