Having lived just round the corner from New King’s Road boutique Holly’s House for many years, their online store was one of the first places I logged on when planning the decorative accessories with which to furnish for my new home in Manchester —long before I’d even found a flat and was still pinning items to a ‘fantasy flat’ board on Pinterest!
Having spent many a Saturday afternoon mooching round the Aladdin’s cave-like shop, lusting after everything in sight but not quite having the right space for it in my old home, I was really excited to be starting from scratch building a décor scheme that felt truly ‘me’.
Here are just a few of the many covetable items I’d been pinning as I pulled all my design ideas together. In fact, you can now spy quite a few of these in my new lounge and bedroom..
MY HOLLY’S HOUSE EDIT

I thought lovely Holly Wick, founder of this beautiful treasure trove of a store, would be the perfect person for another Coffee & Conversations instalment.
Read on to find out more about her daily routines, love of pasta and favourite candle scents..

Let’s meet… Holly Wick, Founder, Holly’s House
Describe your weekday morning routine.
(On a work day) my husband’s alarm goes off at 5.45am (awful!!) so I normally try and doze back off until he brings me a cuppa and says goodbye, or until my baby boy Finley starts to stir, which at the moment is about 6.15/6.30am. I then give him his bottle in our bed before dragging myself up (I am definitely not a morning person!) to get both of us dressed and downstairs for breakfast. After his breakfast he spends the remainder of his morning before his nap in his Jumperoo, whilst I run around getting his food for the rest of the day prepared and occasionally manage to put a bit of makeup on! At 8.45am either my mum or mother-in-law arrive to take over and I head off to work at our warehouse/office for 9.30am.
How does your weekend morning routine differ?
Our wake up time doesn’t differ too much.. Finley’s milk demands come anytime between 6 and 7am, but then we normally have the whole gang on our bed (Mabel the dog, Didier the cat, us & Finley) to chill out for an hour before we make it downstairs for breakfast all together. Then I normally have time to myself to have a shower and get ready baby-free, which is heaven, and I can actually dry my hair which is a rare treat!!

Describe your favourite corner of your home.
It’s not a room that we spend a huge amount of time in – but a spot on my beloved velvet sofa in our living room. We normally chill out in our ‘snug’ room as that’s where the TV and woodburning stove is, and I have banned the TV from our living room! But the living room has so much natural light, and is so relaxing as we listen to vinyl records we are obsessed with collecting, and chat and read books. The sofa is surrounded by plants as it’s the room with the best light, and has my favourite marble coffee table which is stacked with albums from our wedding day and inspiring coffee table books.
Whats your favourite home fragrance?
Our ‘Cactus’ scented candle by Maison la Bougie is my favourite at the moment.

Go-to comfort food dish?
Definitely pasta, of almost any sort.
How do you like to unwind on a Sunday evening?
Relax with my husband on the sofa in front of the TV with a good box set (at the moment it’s Billions and Big Little Lies) with the fire on and a comfy throw. It normally includes some sort of naughty treat.. usually chocolate!
Where do you go for a weekend escape?
On our last weekend escape we went to Studland Bay to stay at The Pig Hotel, which is just pure indulgence and so revitalising. We also love heading to Cornwall in the summer months, either to St. Mawes or Fowey.
Finally, whats your dream destination for a month-long vacation?
At the moment Tulum is my absolute dream holiday destination. We are planning our first holiday baby-free for next year, which seems like ages away at the moment.. but fingers crossed we can make it to Mexico – just maybe not for a month!

I’ve never visited this online store but I definitely will now. Also it’s good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t manage to dry my hair before heading out to work.
She has some really lovely stuff in her shop! I can totally see how beautifully it fits with your style! xx

Ooo, a new one for me. I’ll have to have a look around. I love these interviews, too. It’s so nice to find out more about the people behind the brand/company.
