Fabric of my Life.

Autumn antics.

We’ve gone into another ‘short, sharp’ lockdown here in the UK so it definitely feels like a good time for another photo dump from the past six weeks or so in our new place..

We’re so lucky to have snuck our house move in before restrictions tightened up again, as well as our 1-year anniversary dinner celebrated 6 months late (haha) at the Six by Nico in Liverpool. If you’ve not experienced one of their location-inspired ‘six course stories’ then I thoroughly recommend it. Our tasting menu was ‘Cooking Sicily’ with courses of arancini, Sicilian lamb, hazelnut ragu, seabass, porchetta and Silician lemon tart to finish, with each accompanied by a glass of Italian wine chosen to complement the specific dish. The 6-course tasting menu was £29 (very reasonable I think), with accompanying wines £26, and there are other branches in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and London (not sponsored in any way btw; we were actually gifted a voucher from a friend last Christmas).

Other than that, the only highlights of life lately include discovering new river walks locally (including a short-cut to a big local park), making copious amounts of soup, a trip to the local garden centre for some houseplants and, of course, building many, many IKEA flat-packs! The new house is a work in progress for sure, but all coming together nicely. It’s definitely going to be a nicer place to lock down in over Winter than our old flat :)
