Fabric of my Life.

Fabric of my Life contains paid-for content, gifted products and affiliate links, as detailed below.

All such content is clearly marked. Thank you for supporting the posts that make this blog possible.

AD — Paid Partnerships

I occasionally partner with like-minded brands to create Paid Partnership content. This will only ever be with brands I love and who I already shop with, or would happily choose to buy from. Paid Partnership content means I’m paid for my time and expertise in coming up with the concept, styling, photography and copy for the post, along with any associated promotion on social media. These intermittent Paid Partnership posts —both here or on Instagram— enable me to meet my business running costs and make a small profit each year.

AD — Gifted Product

I occasionally feature items which have been ‘gifted’ to me within blog posts or over on Instagram. When I accept gifted products I do so with no obligation to post and the brands holds no editorial control over how a product will be featured. Should I accept a gift as “payment” for a feature, I’ll declare this post as a Paid Partnership.

Sometimes items that were gifted as part of a previous Paid Partnership will make a reappearance in posts on my blog and/or Instagram and if this happens within a year or the partnership I will declare so, as per CMA guidelines. There are however many items in my home which have been acquired through gifting and/or Paid Partnerships over the years, which have become a much loved part of my home and everyday lifestyle since. I believe that their endurance in my home is a testament to only working with brands that I love and would happily buy from myself. Whenever I link to a product which has been gifted to me it will be denoted with a double asterisk (**).

AD — Press Trip

Over the years I have had the pleasure of being invited on many press trips in which my travel, accomodation and other expenses have been covered by the brand in question. I will always declare when my travel experiences have been paid for by a third party, but all descriptions of my experiences are in my own words, espressing my own thoughts and opinions.

AD — Review

I have also had the pleasure of being invited to experience restaurants, bars, exhibitions and other such activities in which the costs have been covered by the brand in question. Again, I will always declare when my experiences have been paid for by a third party, but all descriptions of my meals or other experiences are always in my own words, espressing my own thoughts and opinions.

Affiliate Links

If I use product affiliate links in a blog post, you’ll see an asterisk (*) next to the link to denote it. Affiliate linking means that if you make a purchase from clicking a product link or image, I will receive a small percentage of the sale in the form of a commission payment. This doesn’t impact the cost of the product to you, and the rate I receive is dependent on the brand. Affiliate rates are generally between 2% and 10% of the item amount.  I partner with Reward Style for the majority of my affiliate links.
