Right, it’s time for the next stop on my fantasy Stylish Stays tour, and this time I’m heading to the cultural city centres of California! Well, it is just a short hop, skip and a jump from the desert vacation homes I was drooling over before… California is one of those places that feels ‘familiar’ to me even though I’ve never visited before. Whenever I picture myself there I’m transported to the bustling Beverly Hills shopping malls and palatial-style mansions

Staying home is the order of the day, but it doesn’t hurt to daydream a little about all the adventures I hope to have, and the places I’d like to stay, in the future. Armchair escapism has certainly become one of my favourite pastimes the past few weeks. It begun as I was leafing though the pages of an old copy of Drift magazine, and intensified as I re-read a few pages from Joan Didion’s Play It As It Lays.

More new season inspiration today, from one of the catalogues I most look forward to each year. Tine K Home never fails to deliver, and this year’s offering might just be their best yet! The aptly named Slow Collection was shot at the dreamy Neuendorf House in Mallorca, designed by John Pawson. Set in an almond grove, with views of sea and mountains, it’s a tranquil, ethereal space that I would happily move straight in to and never want to

Goodbye grey, bonjour beige! Say hello to a new colour palette consisting of soft, neutral shades and warm, subtle contrasts. Gradually over the past few years, cool greys have been edged out for a warmer greige, and we’re now seeing an even cosier, yellower tone emerge as the base canvas for the best Scandinavian brand’s new catalogues and inspirations shots. I’m not quite on board with Dulux’s more magnolia-esque Spiced Honey – the brand’s Colour of the Year for 2019

I’m currently in the midst of rounding up a blog post on my favourite co-working spaces in Manchester, but for now I wanted to share with you imagery of this most stylish of co-working spaces in Soho, New York. I came across The Wing via an Instagram post by Gillian Anderson (you guys know how much of an X Files geek I am..), which showed one of the space’s telephone booths emblazoned with the inscription: “the office of Dana Scully:
